This climbing vine is loved for its large, unusual pipe-shaped flowers on mature plants and its dramatic tropical look, making it a beautiful choice for trellises, fences, arbors, and warm garden spaces.
For best growth, place in full sun to partial shade and plant in moist, well-drained soil. Water regularly while the young plant gets established and provide support such as a trellis, fence, or arbor as it grows.
Note: Aristolochia is considered toxic if ingested, so handle with care and keep away from pets and small children."
Note: This plant is toxic if ingested and may irritate sensitive skin. Also, while many Aristolochia attract swallowtails, this tropical species can be dangerous to pipevine swallowtail caterpillars, so avoid using it as a butterfly host plant.
